A 4-year-old girl getting treatment in Toledo for a rare illness has been named an ambassador for Children's Miracle Network hospitals.

Carly Kudzia has Progeria, an aging disease that causes a child to age very rapidly, leading to a shortened life span.

During a special event Thursday April 24, Carly was named the Ohio Champion Ambassador. Throughout this year, Carly and her family will serve as local, state, and national spokespeople advocating for the charitable need at children's hospitals across North America.
