(Toledo News Now) -
It's iPhone season again. This year the stakes are huge. Leaked images say Apple is finally upping the size of its iconic smartphone.
It is finally coming: a bigger, yet thinner iPhone. The image from macrumors.com shows a rendering based on plans leaked from Chinese suppliers.
According to macrumors, the iPhone 6 will finally catch up with Samsung's popular Galaxy when it comes to screen size. Consumers have mixed feelings about a bigger iPhone. Some consumers say it will be too bulky and unable to fit in a pocket.
However, a new survey finds 40% of current iPhone owners would be interested in a larger phone. You can bet Apple will keep selling the older, smaller phone for a while.
But from the doesn't-that-stink file, the long wait is now in store. If you are on an older iPhone 4 or 4s and want to upgrade, you now face a dilemma: buy a 5, or wait for the iPhone 6? If your new phone is outdated, in a month you'll say, "Doesn't that stink?"
Apple may not unveil the new iPhone 6 until September. That means a long wait if your phone is on its last legs.
If the early polling and surveys are correct, a lot of people will be turning in their early iPhone 5's and remaining 4's for the new larger model.
