12 children and both bus drivers were rushed to the hospital after two school busses collided in Cleveland.
The accident between a CMSD bus and a charter school bus happened at 7 a.m. Thursday at East 71st and Hough Avenue.
The CMSD bus was transporting students to Wade Park Elementary and Daniel Morgan School. The charter school bus was transporting students to three charter schools, University of Cleveland Prep School, Cleveland College Prep School and Northeast Ohio College Prep School.
The CMSD bus only had six students on board at the time of the accident. Of those six, three students were taken to Rainbow Babies. All have since been treated and released.
19 Action News has learned the injuries are being described as non life-threatening and some as precautionary.
CMSD CEO Eric Gordon did report to the accident scene.
"The first and primary issue is our students and caregivers are safe," CEO Gordon said. "Fortunately, we understand we only have minor injuries for all involved."
