Schools can finally make plans now that the votes have been tallied for their levies.
The Swanton Schools levy passed, 877 to 732.
Findlay City Schools also passed their levy 3,016 to 1,523.
Tiffin City Schools easily passed a levy 2,248 to 1,141.
Sylvania City Schools leaders remained hopeful Tuesday evening, even as the levy was failing by hundreds of votes with just over half the votes counted. Voters were asked to approve a 3.8 mill operating levy to be used for curriculum and technology fees. The levy failed 4,864 to 4,357.
In Michigan, Bedford Schools failed to pass a levy. The votes were 3,114 to 5,203.
Northwood Local Schools narrowly passed a combined income tax and bond issue question, 671 to 654. The 4.9 mill bond issue will allow the district to construct one building for all of its students. Superintendent Greg Clark thanked all of the districts volunteers for their work after the victory.
"It's close again. We will need to see how many provisionals there are, but good news for Northwood Schools tonight," Clark said.
Northwood saw a similar levy fail last November by just two votes.
