OTTAWA COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Two people are behind bars after officers from the Ottawa County Drug Task Force, Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and Perrysburg Township Police Department seized 102 marijuana plants from a home on Schiller Rd. in Benton Township.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says grow lights, timers, fans and drug paraphernalia were also seized.

Officials say the bust started when a Perrysburg Township Police officer stopped the suspects' car for a traffic violation.

According to the search warrant, when the officer approached the car, he smelled marijuana.  The man and a woman in the car told the officer they smoke marijuana in their car instead of their home.  The officer found marijuana and $1,116 on the man upon searching the car.

Charges for both residents of the home are currently pending.
