A driver for Oasis Restaurant was delivering food to a house and suddenly was robbed by two men with guns Thursday May 8 morning.
It was a scary situation for the delivery driver around 2:30 a.m. He was making a delivery at Wood Ridge Apartments on north McCord road when he was confronted by two men demanding his money.
"Is it worth somebody's life? You know some people are very unfortunate out there and they don't know what to do and they have nothing better to do than to take on people that are out there working very hard, especially at 2:30 in the morning trying to deliver food to somebody," said Mo Darbi, Co-owner, Oasis Restaurant.
The driver knew exactly what to do and followed proper protocol.
"He did the smartest thing. He gave it up. He didn't try to fight with them. He cooperated. It's just money. Give it up and get away uninjured," said Detective Jeff Kozac, Lucas County Sheriff's Department.
Kozac believes this wasn't a delivery at all, but rather a setup. Now police need your help in finding out who did this.
The first suspect is described as a White/Hispanic male, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, around 20-years old, with a red bandana wrapped around his face
The second suspect is described as a White male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a blue bandana and acne scars seen on his face.
Both men had guns.
Police say if they find these two suspects, they may face multiple charges and could face years in prison, all for $100.
