The Wood County Humane Society has formed a new committee to explore the county's feral cat issues.
According to committee member Kathy Dean, the humane society is training members and volunteers on the factors that influence feral cat populations and the scope of the problem locally.
Members say they plan to reach out to experts to learn more about available resources to address the issue.
The committee held its first meeting on April 24 at Grounds for Thought coffee shop in Bowling Green. There are currently 15 volunteers from the local community.
Anyone interested in joining the committee should contact Kathy Dean at email@example.com for information on upcoming meetings.
