The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is getting an energy upgrade. A company named Sunray is going to begin installing a film on the windows to eliminate heating and cooling issues in the mostly glass building.
The problem was finding the right film to do it. Most are reflective and that would ruin the views inside the Hall from the outside. A special product was found that will control the sun and not disrupt the exterior appearance of the Hall.
The company is currently fabricating the stuff at it's Willoughby workshop. When installation begins on May 19, they will actually construct a tent on top of the Hall, rappel down the sides of the building to install the stuff.
