OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Construction has begun on a new assisted living facility at the corner of Coy and Seaman Road in Oregon.

The 45,000 square foot facility will sit on three acres of land and have a total of 64 one-story units.

It will provide assistance with activities for daily living, including meals, bathing, dressing and housekeeping.

It will also bring a mix of high and low skill jobs.

Oregon city leaders say the new senior facility will play a vital role in the community.

The first phase of this project is expected to cost a little more than $3 million.  The entire project is expected to be complete in June of 2015.
