TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Tiffin's National Machinery is struggling to keep up with demand, so the company is looking to add between 20 and 60 new employees.

The company, which produces machines and parts, is looking to hire new employees at positions from laborer to engineer.

"The challenge we have today is, Business is booming, but we don't have capacity," said National Machinery Vice President of Finance Bob Foster.

Tiffin city leaders say a tax credit was key in securing the expansion.

"Any incentives you can offer can kind of make or break deals," said Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz.

Montz says businesses must meet a minimum salary requirement to receive the credit.

"We wanted wages that Tiffinites could live on and not have to supplement their income with two and three jobs," said Montz.

Foster says most are very well paying jobs.

"Most of our positions here are skilled workers, skilled machinists, skilled assembly people, engineers, mechanical, electrical engineers," said Foster.
