The Evansville Rescue Mission received a $2,200 check from Chick-Fil-A this afternoon.
The check was presented at the East side restaurant Thursday afternoon.
The money comes from Chick-Fil-A's "dine and donate".
Terry Gorman with the Rescue Mission says this money will help the homeless in Tri-State.
He says, "we're keeping them off the streets, we're giving them a warm or a cool place to stay, we're providing the food that they need and clothing. A lot of times people come in and all they have is the clothes that's on their backs and so we're able to give them clothing and then keep them safe and that's what we want to do."
All proceeds were collected over a two week period.
