Police are investigating after an overnight stabbing in Point Place turned into a homicide.
Authorities say Thomas Przybysz, 30, was stabbed at least once in the chest. Family says Przybysz was coming home from his job when he was stabbed in his driveway. He was taken away from the Point Place home on 283rd Street in an ambulance around 3:30 Friday morning. He died just an hour later at St. V's.
Investigators are currently talking to neighbors about the stabbing. Przybysz was reportedly going from house to house knocking on doors in order to seek help, leaving a trail of blood around the neighborhood before a neighbor called 9-1-1.
Crime tape is set up around several neighboring houses while detectives investigate the scene. A coroner is performing an autopsy on the body as detectives continue to search for a motive and possible suspect.
Przybysz was a father to 8-year-old Natalie. He is described as a hard worker who loved his large family. As of now police are still investigating this murder and have not named any suspects. Przybysz 's family is grieving and wants to find who took this father away from his daughter.
"We talked with her about her last memory with her dad, which was a couple days ago. Her and her dad went for a long bike ride. They got ice-cream at Fritzy Freeze. He worked hard to provide for his daughter she was his number one priority," said Christi Kidd, Przybysz 's sister.
Both family and police say Przybysz has faced drug charges and this attack was more than likely not random, but despite the reason police and this family are desperate for answers.
The stabbing is currently under investigation. Police have no suspects at this time. Anyone with more information is urged to call CrimeStopper at 419-255-1111.
