Toledo Public Schools is holding a job fair to fill more than 75 positions, including bus drivers, teachers and substitute teachers, food service workers and intervention specialists.
The job fair kicked off at 9 a.m. Wednesday and runs until 6 p.m. at the Summit Annex located at 1530 Summit Street. More than 100 people have been through the doors already.
This is the second year the district has held a job fair like this. Organizers expect at least 200 people to attend this year's event.
"Our goal is to get out in the community and let people know that with retirements, and with adding people to our buildings, and growing, that we have opportunities to become a part of our TPS proud family," said Stacey Scharf, director of teaching personnel at TPS.
- Candidates interested in applying for administrative positions must have a valid licensure, including the Ohio High School Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Superintendent certificate and previous experience.
- Candidates interested in teaching positions (including nurses), both full-time and substitutes, must have a bachelor's degree and certification in their desired area of concentration.
- Candidates for non-teaching positions (including paraprofessionals, bus drivers, sign language interpreters, and cleaners/laborers), both full-time and substitutes, must be a high school graduate or have a GED and pass appropriate testing.
