June 18: Watch It Grow Garden Tour, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
With a zoo horticulturist, tour stunning rose, vegetable, butterfly, Van Auken, herb and formal gardens, and get some gardening hints from the experts, too. Reservations are not necessary; just meet at the historic Ziems Conservatory and be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Free with regular zoo admission.
June 20: ZOOtoDO, 6 p.m. – midnight
This chic "tuxedoes and tennis shoes" affair mixes outstanding food (served by 50+ regional restaurants and catering services) with fantastic live entertainment throughout an after-hours zoo. Separate fee; advance tickets required.
