Rising gas prices don’t surprise many in Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

It's probably not surprising but gas prices are on the rise.

Gas prices continue to fluctuate not only in downtown Toledo, but everywhere. The price of gas is the highest it has been in a long time.

"Every time I turn it's time to fill up and that number keeps going up," said one driver.

That's the pain at the pump that everyone is feeling now. The price of a gallon of regular unleaded is knocking on the door of $4 at many places throughout Toledo.

"I have friends that are in the city. My parents live in Maumee. I haven't really been driving anywhere since gas prices went up, just been staying at home mostly," said a resident.

AAA says Ohio is well above the national average of $3.65 a gallon. We're being told the spike in prices is a result of gasoline inventories dropping, affecting mostly the Midwest.
