One person was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning on County Road 65, west of County Road 90, in Washington Township.
Highway patrolmen say Deshaun Cash, 27, was driving eastbound around 12:30 a.m. when his vehicle veered off the right side of the road. Investigators say Cash overcorrected, losing control of the vehicle. The car slid off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Cash, as well as his two occupants, Latoya Minniefield, 33, and Brittany Minniefield, 24, all of Fremont, were ejected from the car.
Latoya Minniefield was pronounced dead at the scene. Cash and Brittany Minniefield were transported from the scene via Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo.
Officers say speed and alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. None of the three occupants were wearing seatbelts. The crash remains under investigation.
