A former Fremont Ross football and track coach has been arrested on charges he had sex with a 17-year-old female student.
Johnny Alridge, 36, was arrested and charged with one count of sexual battery on Wednesday, June 4.
The Sandusky County Sheriff's Office says Alridge admitted to having a sexual relationship with the student.
Detectives say they have reason to believe there are more victims out there. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office and ask for a detective.
Detectives are hoping local parents can help them as this investigation continues.
Officials say Alridge resigned from his coaching positions Wednesday June 4 after being questioned about this incident. They say he admitted to having consensual sex with the student several times between February and May of this year.
Detectives say the two would meet at a motel in Fremont and that finally a family member of the student reported it. Officials are taking this case very seriously and say the relationship between the two should have never happened.
"This case is more extreme because he is a coach in the same school system in which she is a student. He's in a position of authority regardless of whether or not it's consensual," said Detective Sean O'Connell, Sandusky County Sheriff's Office.
