Construction is causing headaches for
drivers on Hill Avenue in Toledo.
The city is replacing water mains and resurfacing Hill Avenue between Byrne Road
and Reynolds Road.
"I'd really like to stress
just to be careful going through the zone. The workers are out there, be
patient with us and hopefully we'll get out of the way with as minimal
inconvenience as we can,"
said Toledo Engineering Services Commissioner Douglas Stephens.
Toledo resident Craig Wells says he has stopped driving his sports cars, mainly
because of the Hill Avenue project.
"It actually is a mess. Two
weeks ago it was even worse and Dorr Street was also the same as this one. You
couldn't go either way. It's gotten better but it's still very bad," said Wells.
The price tag on the project is over $3 million, all coming from the city of
Toledo. Construction is expected to be finished by mid-August.
