Olander Park system reviewing safety after young boy drowns in Sylvania

The Olander park system is planning to look into its safety procedures after an 8-year-old boy drowned at Olander Park the first week of June. 

The park director says the system is considering adding more "no swimming" signs in parts of the pond that are 30 feet deep.

They're also considering having employees verbally warning people coming into the park. 
Finally, the director says they may have the American Red Cross review policies and procedures for swimming and rescue.
