TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

One girl's dream to become a princess has turned into a major business venture. A 20-year-old business woman is creating a name for herself by making dreams for young girls come true.

University of Toledo marketing student Laurel Lovitt has been in business for just over a year. The idea is simple enough: dress up as a storybook princess, and create workshops with youngsters. Her idea has taken off.

"The dream is more than just doing parties here. I want to impact the lives of little girls, to empower them to know that a princess is more than a tutu and a tiara. It's about being brave, being courageous, being confident in who you are," says Lovitt, Owner and founder of Laurel's Princess.

This month alone she has 35 parties to attend. The starting cost for the parties is $200. She has even hired two other princesses. Her goal is to keep growing the business, but more importantly, teach young girls how to have grace like a real princess.

"The idea is to create story books, music, a dress line for the adult girls and for the little girls, and then to be able to franchise nationwide so that we can spread our positive message and create magical memories," said Lovitt.
