TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man who admitted to his role in a 2013 Waterville murder was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Tuesday.

Judge Myron Duhart ordered Ronald Rooker to serve 25 years in prison for the murder of James Safadi back in May 2013.

Safadi's girlfriend told officials three males broke into their home, stealing an undisclosed amount of money and a ring off her finger. At some point during the home invasion, Safadi was shot and killed. According to a source close to the investigation, seven handguns were also stolen, along with a large amount of ammunition.

Rooker and three other men, Adam Anderson, James Allen and Phillip Allen all accepted plea agreements in the case.
