HARRODSBURG, KY (WAVE) - A low cost spay-neuter clinic in Mercer County may soon be without a home. The rent for Critters Without Litters has skyrocketed and the staff doesn’t have much time to relocate.
Since 2007, Critters Without Litters has been working to control animal overpopulation in central Kentucky. With the exception of a veterinarian, the non-profit organization is staffed by volunteers.
The rent increase means the organization only six weeks to find a new place to call home. They will also lose the equipment necessary for their operation.
Critters Without Litters is asking for help from the community to find another building to house the clinic and money to replace office and surgery equipment.
