Workers at the Daviess County Animal Shelter say they are overwhelmed with kittens and need the public's help.
Volunteers are seeing as many as 40 cats and kittens arriving every day and there's no longer any more room.
What's needed right now are people in Daviess Count to foster the animals for a few weeks or a few months.
"We cover the medical expenses on them," says volunteer Jennifer Jackson. "You're going to take care of them. Keep them inside. It keeps them from being exposed to all the germs, just the environment, and stress at the shelter."
