The University of Toledo women's basketball team hopes to travel to Europe in the summer of 2015.
Fundraising for that trip is currently underway. It will include a dinner on Monday, July 14, titled a "Night with Naama."
Former UT women's basketball star Naama Shafir will headline the event. Since playing for the Lady Rockets, Shafir has gone onto play professional basketball in her native Israel
Both Shafir and head coach Tricia Cullop stopped by ‘Your Morning Sunday' to talk about the upcoming fundraiser. Coach Cullop says cultural trips are important for team building.
During the time Shafir played for the Rockets, the team took a trip to Israel.
"A Night with Naama" is taking place Monday, July 14, in The Temple, 6453 Sylvania Avenue, Sylvania, Ohio.
Dinner starts at 6 p.m.
