SYLVANIA, Ohio (AP) - There's no shortage of prominent players to keep an eye on in this week's Marathon Classic LPGA event.
Defending champion Beatriz Recari, who outdueled Paula Creamer down the stretch in the final round a year ago, is back. Mo Martin, the Women's British Open winner on Sunday, is in the field. Then there's local favorite Stacy Lewis, a Toledo native and the world's No. 1-ranked player.
She'll be joined by the tournament's five-time winner, Se Ri Pak.
Regardless of who ends up winning on Sunday afternoon, it's likely somebody who produces birdies in bunches. Eleven times in the last 16 years, the winner at Highland Meadows has finished at 14 under or better.
