As the mercury rises, so does the risk of heat stroke

Which type of weather do you think takes the most lives? Hurricanes? Tornados? Floods?

Nope. In fact, heat is the number one cause of weather-related deaths.

In a heat wave, heat exhaustion and the more serious threat of heat stroke can affect anyone.

With children playing sports this summer and into the fall, Chris Vickers tells you how to prevent heat-related illness and how to spot and treat heat exhaustion and stroke.
