FREMONT, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Community members in Fremont came together again Thursday for a vigil honoring 22-year-old Cory Barron, who died last weekend while attending a concert in Cleveland.

The vigil was held at Fremont Ross High School, where Barron attended. It was an emotional night as people hugged, cried, shared poems and prayed.

Organizers of the vigil say the whole community is still struggling to come to terms with what happened. They say a vigil not only honors Barron, but helps those dealing with the loss know they're not alone.

They say Cory's smile, laugh and friendly personality will forever be missed, and that they never saw such a tragedy coming.

"If you just would have seen the shock in the community and the kids' eyes, everybody from all walks – we just needed to do something," said Mike Dukeshire, a neighbor of the Barron family.

Fremont Ross school leaders say grief counselors will be on hand Friday and Monday at the high school from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. for anyone that needs them.

There are still many questions surrounding Barron's death. His body was found in a landfill near Cleveland on Tuesday. The cause of his death has not yet been determined by the coroner.
