CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Police were called to two separate locations for reports of shots fired early Tuesday morning.

One of the calls came from the 700 block of South Sprigg Street around just before 1 a.m.

Police confirm multiple shots were fired and neighbors told our crew on the scene that a mother and her children were living in the home.

Police have not confirmed any property damage, but neighbors say there was damage to the home due to the shots that were fired and our crew on the scene saw what appeared to be several bullet holes in the home.

“We heard the shots,” neighbor Erica Gonzales said. “Within seconds the police were here and we realized our neighbor’s house had been shot. They said it was shot ten times.”

Cape Girardeau Officer Darin Hickey confirms there was another report of shots fired at College and Benton streets around 1:10 a.m.

There were shell casings found at both scenes.

There are no suspects for either incident and there were no injuries reported.
