No danger after officer spots funnel cloud near Whitehouse, sirens sounded

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Lucas County Sheriff's dispatch says something an officer saw in the sky caused the county to sound outdoor warning sirens on Monday.

Around 4:40 p.m. Lucas County residents heard tornado sirens, but the National Weather Service had not issued a tornado warning.

Dispatch says an officer spotted a funnel cloud on State Route 64 between Finzel Road and Noward Road in Whitehouse. The funnel cloud never touched the ground.
