Maumee School lunches see an increase

Posted: Updated:
MAUMEE, OH (Toledo News Now) -

It's that time of year again, school is almost back in session and this year parents and students in Maumee can be on the lookout for some new changes.

The first thing on the list of changes includes an increase in lunch prices. At a school board meeting on July 1, the food services committee recommended a meal increase of 10 to 25 cents for breakfast and lunch at Maumee Schools.

The second thing for parents to be on the lookout for is the $3.9 million levy that will go on November's ballot. The dual purpose levy is for operating revenue and permanent improvement needs.

Monday Wayne Trail Elementary will host their open house.

Tuesday Fairfield Elementary, Fort Meigs and Gateway Middles School will host their open house.

Grades 1-9 will start school Wednesday and grades 10-12 will start on Thursday.
