Toledo man charged with felony after shooting attempted thief

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Toledo man was arraigned Monday after police say he shot a person who had been trying to take something from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Alvin Sunday night.

Williams Black, 33, has been charged with felonious assault for the shooting.

Police say Kenneth Conley was trying to take something from a vehicle parked in Black's driveway.  Black then confronted Conley, ordered him to the ground at gunpoint and shot him in the left side of the stomach.

Black will remain in Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Conley was released from the hospital Monday morning.
