Hello everyone! I joined WTOL in early 2008 and can be seen on WTOL 11 Your Morning and co-anchoring WTOL 11 Your Day. I cover the weather to help plan your day and get you out the door in the morning.

Weather is not just a career choice for me. It is a hobby and a passion. From the amazing power and beauty of a thunderstorm to the unrelenting wrath of a winter blizzard, I can find intriguing and exciting aspects that always keep me asking: "What came together to cause this?" Then I dig in and get to work, solving that question and striving to determine how the weather is going to affect you!

I previously worked as a meteorologist in Bismarck, North Dakota, but I am very familiar with the weather on the shores of Lake Erie. I grew up east of Cleveland in Concord, and lived in Ohio my entire life prior to my adventure in North Dakota. At a young age, I was exposed to dynamic weather that captured my imagination and curiosity. From summer storms to intense lake-effect snow, I knew a career in meteorology was right for me.

I graduated in 2006 from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a minor in Physics. I was the founder and president of the Ohio University Meteorology Club and a senior forecast supervisor at Scalia Laboratory for Atmospheric Analysis.

I am a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), and have earned the prestigious distinction as a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM #282). To earn this distinction, a person must hold a degree in meteorology, pass a rigorous written exam, and have their on-air work reviewed to assess technical competence, informational & explanatory value, and communication skills. I remain active in the AMS and also maintain my status as an advanced storm spotter for the NWS and routinely complete supplemental coursework on topics related to meteorology.

I married my high school sweetheart in May of 2007. Both my wife Jen and I love to be outdoors hiking, biking, camping, golfing, traveling and working out.
