WTOL Vice President and General Manager Bob Chirdon
If you live in Lucas County and you want to vote, but you don't like waiting in lines on election day, there is a better way: Drive to the EMS training center on Jefferson St. in downtown Toledo.
Between now and election day, you can vote most days from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you need to register first, then get there before Oct. 6. If you do so, you can register and vote all at the same time.
These votes will not be counted until election night, so there is no way the early voters can change the way people are looking at the election.
I think this is a great idea. Hopefully, this will encourage more people to participate.
In our country you do get to vote in a safe and orderly process. Now, for some of us, it just got a little more convenient.
No more excuses -- vote!
