A convicted sex offender who already spent several years behind bars, is wanted by local authorities for failing to register his address.

Forty-two-year-old John Kanavel has an address of 105 17th St., which is the Cherry Street Mission. But we're told he has not shown up there for some time.

Kanavel has already spent 16 years in prison for attempted rape and gross sexual imposition charges. The victims were all 6-year-old children.

Kanavel has failed to register with authorities, and there's a warrant out for his arrest.
