Presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama just spent four days in our area. He certainly dominated the news.
Whether you are for him or for Sen. John McCain, without question Obama's presence clearly raised most people's interest in this election.
That's a very good thing, but only if you vote. The percentage of people in this country who take one half-hour out of an entire year to vote is embarrassing.
Your preference for Sen. Obama or Sen. McCain means nothing, unless you actually vote.
The course of our country for the next decade may well be determined in this election. I hope that matters enough to you to get you to a voting booth.
If not, I guess that says a lot about where this country is heading.
