Vice President and General Manager Bob Chirdon
Governor Ted Strickland should fire Helen Jones-Kelley, the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Ms. Jones-Kelley was entrusted with access to sensitive information about thousands of Ohioans. From this position of power, she ordered a search of the personal records of Joe the Plumber. Then she made those results public.
There was no justification for this action. It was an outrageous abuse seemingly motivated by political purposes.
For a governor who was swept into office decrying the immoral and criminal behavior of the Republican party, this should have been a simple decision. Instead, he chose to suspend her. Governor Strickland made morality an issue. He needs to fire her.
