Q. If I'm already signed up for Text It alerts, why do I need to sign up again?

A. Our Text It system has become so popular that the existing program cannot accommodate the demand. We've upgraded to a bigger and much better texting system. If you signed up before December 23, 2008, you need to sign up for this new system and choose more specifically what alerts you would like to receive.

Q. If I signed up before December 23, 2008, do I have to unsubscribe from the old Text It system?

A. No. The old text system will be turned off. No more messages will be sent through that system.

Once I've signed up, how do I change my preferences or unsubscribe in this new Text It system?

Go to the Sign Up page. Scroll all the way down to the bottom. There will be a gold link that reads Change Preferences/Unsubscribe. Click on the link and follow instructions.
